I've heard a lot about these eyeshadow palettes from US drugstore brand Wet n Wild and was lucky enough to receive one recently in my swap with US based blogger, Gabriella.
I've heard particularly great things about this particular trio due to the 'lid' shade - a beautiful taupe. We all know beauty bloggers love a good taupe!
'Silent Treatment' certainly does not disappoint. The shadows are surprisingly soft and easily blended. There was no fallout on my cheeks which I expected there to be and there was only slight 'dustiness' in the pan itself.
The browbone shade, a soft, shimmering peach, is great as an inner corner highlight (I never use shadow right up to my browbone, ever) The crease colour is a dark brown with soft gold glitter (translates as shimmer as opposed to full on GLITTER) The lid colour, the smoky taupe is the clear winner.
Here is a look I created, albeit hurriedly, this weekend...
I generally overlook drugstore/high street cosmetics (there are exceptions, of course) but these shadows have really surprised me. Almost all of the US drugstore brands I have tried have surpassed UK brands in terms of quality and affordability.
I have enjoyed using this palette and will continue to do so.
Have you tried any of the Wet n Wild range?
