NOTD: Tom Ford - Carnal Red

I lusted after this nail polish for so long but it seemed to be a best seller in Cardiff over Christmas and then Valentines Day - It was out of stock for so many months I kind of gave up (and purchased others instead, ha!)

But my lovely husband knew how much I wanted this and surprised me with - 10 out of 10 for oservation & persistance (him) and hinting (me)

It is obvious to see why this was, and still is such a popular colour - Carnal Red is a true, bright red. I would say it is neither orange based or blue based - just the perfect bright neutral.

The formula, as described in my Bordeaux Lust post, is amazing and one of the absolute best I have ever used. These photographs show two coats of polish and no topcoat. I never seem to need a topcoat with these Tom Ford nail polishes as they are so unbelievably shiny and long lasting on their own.

With flash photography, it appears that my nail line is visible through these two coats - but to the naked eye there is no visible nail line - most strange.

And so the Tom Ford Beauty obsession continues....
